HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Information for players, parents and schools

In order to participate in the ISFA Representative Programme, players must be attending an ISFA Member School

Under-13 (Year 8)

ISFA organises regional teams around the country.  Please click here for further information.

Under-14 (Year 9)

A large number of boys are involved in the ISFA progamme at this age group.  The first selection of around 50-60 boys is made following the ISFA U13 Regional Representative Festival, held in March/April of the U13 Year.

However, outstanding players who do not attend this Festival can still be nominated by ISFA Member Schools at any time between April in Year 8 and April in Year 9 and will be invited to attend a camp during the Easter or Summer Holidays.   The aim of these camps is to give players the opportunity to impress coaches over a period of 2-3 days rather than at a one-off trial match when players might be ill, injured or unavailable.

There is a charge for attending these camps, to be paid by parents, but costs are kept to a minimum.  ISFA is a not for profit organisation.

ISFA Member Schools wishing to nominate players should do so by e-mailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., giving the player(s) name, age and parents’ e-mail contact details.

Under-15 (Year 10)

A Squad of 30 players is selected at the end of the Summer Holidays prior the start of the Under-15 year.  Players wishing to be considered for selection will need to have attended at least some of the camps held during the previous 18 months.

Under-16 (Year 11)

At U16 level a reselection process, separate from anything that has occurred at U15 level and below, will take place at the start of Year 11. Schools who regularly nominate players will be sent nomination forms in late August/early September. Any other ISFA Member School  who wishes to receive a nomination form should please contact either Lee Purdy in the North (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or Adam Lowe in the South (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

PLEASE NOTE: This is a reselection process. It is important that schools renominate players who have already been involved at U15 and U14 levels if they wish to be reconsidered for selection.

There will be a North Trial and a South Trial in late September or October. Following the North v. South match in late November/early December, the Full ISFA Team will be selected.

Under-18 (Years 12 and 13)

ISFA Under-18 teams are selected from two age groups. Players in Years 12 and 13 are eligible.

A reselection process, separate from anything that has previously taken place at U16 level, will take place. Schools who regularly nominate players will be sent nomination forms in late August/early September.
