Sunday 12th November
(City of London School)
ISFA U16 South V. Somerset Schools

ISFA U16 South "White" 1 Somerset 2

On a very cold and windy day at City of London School's superb playing fields, both sides started quickly, playing the game at a fast tempo with ISFA nearly taking the lead from a miss-kicked clearance.  However, it was Somerset who went ahead, taking advantage of indecision in the ISFA defence.  The game was soon level after good work from Toby McCullum (Millfield) in the box and then Connor Manning (Westminster) nearly gave ISFA the lead at the break, hitting the bar.  The 2nd half was a little more scrappy with Somerset creating the better chances and it was a good finish after a through ball down the ISFA right that gave Somerset the win.

Sunday 5th November
ISFA U16 South v. Kent Schools
(City of London School)

ISFA U16 "White" 4 Kent Schools 1

On a bright, crisp morning at the City of London Playing Fields, ISFA U16 White took on Kent in an exciting encounter which saw some excellent football played by both sides. After a relatively even opening exchange, Kent brought the match to life with some well-worked play down the left hand side, resulting in an excellent finish across the keeper by the Kent centre forward. The ISFA Whites responded well after this initial set-back, scoring two goals in quick succession as they began to control possession and take the game to their opponents. A swift counterattack saw Leonard Pulevic release Joe MacDonald down the left, whose early low cross found Jack Gibbons at the back post to slot the ball home and, moments later, an excellent corner delivery from Joe MacDonald was poked home at the back post by Thomas Collins. Second half goals from Joe MacDonald (penalty) and Billy Murphy secured an excellent 4-1 victory for the home side.

ISFA U16 "Blue" 0 Kent Schools 2

ISFA U16 Blue took on Kent in a game that demonstrated aspects of both teams' physical, tactical and technical qualities. Kent started brightest and settled quickly, controlling the tempo and shape of the game, looking the stronger and sharper team in the first half taking a 2-0 lead into half time.  The second half saw a completely different shape to the game, with ISFA Blue controlling large periods of possession and pressing the play high up the pitch to win back possession to build attacks. Kent defended resiliently and although ISFA Blue created chances, they could not convert. ISFA Blue showed character and bravery both in and out of possession to their credit as the game ended in a 2-0 win for Kent.

Sunday 1st October
ISFA U16 South v. Essex Schools
(Chigwell School)

ISFA U16 South "Blue" 2 Essex Schools 2

ISFA U16 Blue put in a solid display in the 2-2 draw against Essex Schools at the Chigwell School Playing Fields. ISFA Blues started brightly, playing out from the back with confidence; however it was Essex Schools who took the lead, capitalising on a misplaced pass to slot home the opener. ISFA Blues responded well, creating a host of chances before Rafael Kaidussis (Millfield) cut in from the left and curled the ball home over the Essex Goalkeeper early in the second half. Minutes later, ISFA Blue had the ball in the net again, albeit in more fortuitous circumstances as after a mini goalmouth scramble, the ball was slotted home via Nathan Daniels' (Royal Russell) chest to put the ISFA Blue in front. This lead was short lived, as a well worked attack from Essex saw the ball break on the edge of the box for an advancing midfielder to hammer home the equaliser with just under 10 minutes remaining.

ISFA U16 South "White" 1 Essex Schools 1

ISFA U16 White shared the spoils in their annual fixture with Essex Schools U16. A bright and new-looking squad came together and tooj the initiative, settling in to the game well in the first half with Henry Evans (Hampton School) putting the finishing touch to a well worked move. In the second half,  Essex seized advantage levelling with a incisive move that was well finished . More chances for both sides came and went and the game ended with a 1-1 score being fair result for both sides.
