2015-16 ARDINGLY 1 BRADFIELD 0

Extra-time penalty secures Cup for Ardingly

The first half was very much a case of two teams "cancelling each other out" and there were relatively few clearcut chances in a very close match.  There was more action in the second half.  Ardingly keeper Bonilla Rasmussen made a fine save and then defender Louis Evans hooked the ball off the goal-line.  Meanwhile Ardingly looked more dangerous on the counter-attack with both Haynes-Brown and Penfold going close.  However, the match remained 0-0 at full-time.

The first half of extra time saw little change but early in the second half Ardingly were awarded a penalty after Toby Cassidy was brought down in the penalty area after an excellent dribble by the Ardingly winger. Oscar McConnell then confidently slotted the ball into the corner of the net to clinch the title for Ardingly who thus became only the second school to lift the Cup two seasons in succession.
