Clifton College Preparatory School

Clifton College recently hosted both an U10 and U11 festival as part of the ISFA Junior Hub School programme. The U10 festival was run by the FA Skills coaches who delivered fun games and sessions for all the 40 boys from the 4 participating schools. The festival finished with all players being split into teams and playing a series of round robin matches against each other.

In addition to this festival there was also an U11 festival with 64 boys from 8 schools taking part. This was an enjoyable occasion enabling us to bring together schools from Bristol & North Somerset for the first time. All participating schools had an excellent time taking part in the festival and playing fixtures against each other.

Clifton College had a successful and enjoyable first ISFA Junior Hub School Festival when they recently hosted their U9 coaching festival last week. Thankfully the recent awful weather relented for the day and the festival was able to go ahead with Clifton High, Clifton College Prep, St John’s & Henleaze all taking part in the festival. Each school brought along 10 boys and the first hour of the festival they all worked together as a mixed group through games and activities led by local FA Skills coach Javier Gorodi and assisted by their Sports coaches. Following this they ended the festival by playing some friendly games in a round robin format against each other, with enjoyment and participation being the focus, not results or winning. Every participant then received a certificate of participation for their efforts throughout the day.
