On a beautiful Autumn day, Ardingly College hosted the Kent/Sussex U11 regional qualifiers, which was enjoyed by sixteen participating schools. The teams where split into four group of four playing for ranking in the “round of 16” which would start the knockout phase of the tournament.

In Group ‘A’ Royal Russell finished group winners after two wins and a draw, St. Ronan’s second, and goal difference separated Marlborough House and Ardingly. Group ‘B’ saw Yardley Court take maximum points, St. Michael’s finished with six points, followed by Copthorne Prep then Lingfield College. Brighton College topped group ‘C’, with The New Beacon finishing ahead of Great Walstead on goal difference and Ashford Prep in fourth. Bede’s went through as group winners in the final group, followed by Windlesham House, Cumnor House, Sussex then Handcross Park.

In the “round of 16” four of the eight games where decided on penalties. New Beacon, Windlesham House, Bede’s and St. Ronan’s all won their penalty shootout.
