On Saturday 18th July The Football Association issued guidelines for the Return to Play for grassroots football.

ISFA has examined these proposals carefully, considering how this guidance relates to school football.  ISFA is now consulting The FA accordingly over an apparent contradiction between the guidelines laid down by the Department for Education (in their guidelines for the return to school in September) and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport which give the go ahead for the return of grass roots football.  ISFA is currently seeking clarification over this apparent contradiction.

More detailed information has been sent to all ISFA Member Schools.  As things stand, ISFA is confident that a return to playing football will go ahead at the start of the new school term and advises schools to plan accordingly.

Please see separate statement in relation to ISFA competitions in Season 2020-21.
